A Partnership Built on Excellence
The partnership between LINET UK and Barts Health NHS Trust began on April 1, 2020 under the leadership of then Managing Director Leslie Smith who laid the foundations for the great relationship we have continued to build with the trust today
At the height of the first COVID-19 lockdown. Launching a contract of this scale during such an uncertain time demanded extraordinary coordination, resilience, and a shared commitment to safety. A challenge which every person who was involved in the original implementation (Past and present colleagues) met with professionalism and dedication - remaining bonded from that experience still today.
From day one, both LINET and BARTS HEALTH teams worked hand-in-hand to implement robust infection control protocols, rapidly mobilise resources, and ensure continuity of care during one of the most challenging periods in NHS history.
Key to the success of this ongoing partnership was the appointment of a dedicated, on-site contract team focused solely on supporting the trust. This allowed for:
• Seamless mobilisation and deployment of equipment across all hospital sites
• Rapid onboarding and training of clinical and support staff which could not have been achieved without the expertise and diligence of then Clinical Nurse Manager Vicky Walker.
• Full adherence to safety protocols with minimal disruption to frontline care
• An effective continuity of service, responsiveness, assistance and support by our dedicated team of 30 contract staff operating across each of the sites to this very day.
This foundation of trust, flexibility, and open communication continues to define our collaboration five years on.

• Electronic staff training records
• Ongoing Patient and Staff Feedback surveys
• Equipment collection and on-site decontamination
• Dedicated 24/7 helpline for technical support
• Bi-weekly equipment audits
• Monthly live hire reports, to name just a few.
This compressive package offers a complete solution that is streamlined through one supplier, providing better control offer costs and improved responsiveness to meet the demanding operational needs of the NHS.
