At Newham Hospital, this formidable challenge was met head-on. The successful move was captured by the BBC. Watch the footage here.
Behind the Scenes the LINET contract team had a part to play and showcased their expertise and commitment to support the preparations for the big move:
- Pre-plan Meetings and Reviews: Led by our contracts manager, Matthew Patterson our contract team took part in the pre planning which involved thorough logistical reviews, preliminary runs and coordinating efforts to ensure a safe and seamless transition with minimal risk.
- Decontamination and Transfer: The LINET on-site team ensured all beds were meticulously decontaminated before transfer. Our collecter/installers provided temporary beds to access the existing ones in the old ITU.
- Collaboration: LINET’s on site Clinical Nurse Advisor Mary Durston worked closely with the hospitals clinical teams, ensuring smooth collaboration during the move. Meanwhile, on-site manager and engineer Darren Campbell collaborated closely with the Newham hospital team to clean and service the beds.
