RANZCOG PR

8/19/2019

Participation in the prestigious event is part of a strategy to strengthen LINET Group's activities in Australia and New Zealand. This year's RANZCOG conference takes place in Melbourne from the 13th-16th of October. The conference capacity is over 1000 participants and LINET will present the unique AVE 2 birthing bed and the Gracie gynaecological chair with an integrated colposcope.

“We will be introducing the AVE 2, which is the most innovative birthing bed, to the Australian market,” says Tereza Halfarová - Marketing Product Manager, “it is the only bed designed to support birth throughout all the stages of delivery.”

Although birth rates in many nations have been dropping for many years, Australia has recently gone against the worldwide trend. The rise in the number of children born each year and the demand for a greater level of care creates a perfect situation for both the AVE 2 and the Gracie chair.

“Stop. Start. Continue.” is the RANZCOG 2019 theme, and according to the website, this provides an opportunity to pause and reflect on practices that we should consider abandoning based on evidence that suggests they are either ineffective or not cost-effective.

Of the estimated 1000 delegates who will attend the meeting, it is expected that approximately 56 % will be RANZCOG Fellows. Obstetrics and gynaecology is a unique specialty, in that it combines elements of both surgery and medicine. Highly trained specialist obstetricians and gynaecologists may have exposure to surgery through operative obstetrics and gynaecology, and also medicine through endocrinology, oncology, internal medicine, and medical imaging. Therefore, this exhibition will showcase the latest products and services available in these areas.
