The Multicare intensive care and therapy bed is an ideal solution for the demanding special requirements of critically ill patients. The bed uses innovative technologies to create an ideal combination of clinical benefits for patients and staff – medical, nursing and therapy
Unique features support vital patient functions and provide excellent working conditions for staff to help minimize the risks associated with caring for high acuity patients. This ensures that the patient can be treated safely and effortlessly. Multicare is a set of distinctive features and leading technology which provide solutions for many of the challenges faced in the high acuity environment.
LINET’s proprietary platform provides continuous lateral rotation therapy via the bed frame known as Automatic Lateral Therapy (ALT). This standard feature of Multicare helps prevent ventilator associated pneumonia (VAP), mobilize secretions and improve gas exchange.
The unique siderail concept, the Multi Zone Bed Exit Alarm, and the intelligent braking features help ensure each patient is protected from potential falls. The minimum gap siderail design also reduces the risk of patient entrapment.
The Multicare bed reduces pressure and shear through its proprietary Ergoframe® technology. Inspired by wound care experts, this feature significantly aids in the prevention of pressure ulcers by increasing envelopment capacity in the sacral area as the bed articulates. With Multicare open architecture you can choose among LINET range of active and reactive mattresses. Even the Automatic Lateral Therapy is a great solution for pressure ulcer prevention in patients who cannot be turned manually due to a serious medical condition.
Lateral tilt, Mobi-Lift® handle, i-Drive power, integrated scale, LCD control touch panel, and foot controls are examples of features designed for ease of caregiver use while minimizing the physical strain encountered by the nursing staff when providing care.
ACCNA (American Association of Critical-Care Nurses) has inspired the clinical team of LINET to create a LINET 4-level Early Mobilization programme using Multicare. LINET has enriched each level of Early mobilization using LINET’s unique features.
Use Early Mobilization with the LINET concept as soon as possible and get your patients back on feet. Influence the length of stay in an ICU by using the LINET ICU SOLUTION.
1. The frame-based Lateral Tilt is a unique LINET feature which can help accelerate recovery of critical care patients
2. The Orthopnoeic chair is the full chair position used for hemodynamic and muscle training. One-button function on the Multicare bed
3. The “nose over the toes” position assists the patient to stand up. Sitting on the side of the bed is an important part of the process
4. The Mobi-Lift® and Lateral Tilt provide safe and effective support in mobilization
Simple programming allows patients to rotate up to 30 degrees for continuous therapy. This helps prevent ventilator associated pneumonia (VAP), mobilize secretions and improve gas exchange. Use ALT for patients who do not tolerate manual turning.
The 15-degree unique platform-based Lateral Tilt function assists with turning patients. Use foot pedal when turning the patient and have your hands free at the same time for nursing activities with the patient. Using Lateral Tilt function helps with pressure injury prevention.
A unique Mobi-Lift® handle allows for active participation from the patient during mobilization. Used together with Lateral Tilt and siderail concept for safe sit-to-stand position.
Intelligent brakes automatically engage after 60 seconds when the bed is plugged into the power socket. This helps to avoid falls due to unrealized brakes.
The i-Drive Retractable 5th castor helps to reduce the effort required by staff to drive and steer the bed.
Motorized patient transport with minimum manpower. A unique Safety Sense™ feature avoids the risk of self-activation, unintentional activation or misuse. The intelligent accelerator optimizes the drive speed in different drive situations.
The Ergoframe® system extends the space in the pelvic area to reduce tissue compression. Together with Lateral Tilt it eases the regular re-positioning of the patient for effective pressure relief.
The Orthopnoeic chair position helps to maximize respiratory function as well as hemodynamic and orthostatic training and enhances patient comfort.
The convenient audible alert mode can be selected in view of actual patient fall risk. This feature can help staff to constantly monitor the fall risk and to respond in time accordingly.
Various mattress systems (alternating pressure or constant low pressure) can be used to prevent the patient from developing pressure ulcers.
The X-ray translucent mattress platform allows for integrated X-ray examination or C-arm scanning.
Multi protect siderail with the safe gaps concept. The exceptional height provides superior protection against falls.
The automatic integrated scales indicate the actual weight of the patient and information about the history of the collected data.
The easily accessible control panel with intuitive user interface is oriented to indicate the 30 degrees HOB (Head of Bed) position.
This position helps to prevent ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) and development of pressure ulcers.
A position with legs at heart level: optimizes venous return and has a positive impact on swelling (oedema) reduction. Helps relieve back pain.
Use micro-shifting for lateralization about 1-3° for patient who do not tolerate more.
