Sad News for LINET Group
It is with genuine sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Bernd W. Weber, who died on 4 February 2012 at the age of 55 after a brief, yet serious, illness. Mr. Weber was the longstanding managing director of our affiliate, wissner-bosserhoff, and German partner representative within LINET. The funeral service, held on 8 February in the German town of Sulzfeld, was attended not only by Mr. Weber’s closest relatives, but also by a number of his friends and colleagues from LINET and wissner-bosserhoff.
LINET Group SE Board Chairman Zbyněk Frolík spoke the following words during the funeral service: “I had the opportunity to know Bernd Weber not only as a business partner, but also as a person. In a world where competition is fierce, he favored a human approach to a business one; there are not many such managers. In his decision making he adhered to the virtues of fair play, respect for the needs of others, and additional values that one does not often encounter in the world of enterprise. The years of prosperity of our partner companies have demonstrated that modesty and integrity can indeed go hand in hand with managerial success.”

For more than 15 years, Mr. Bernd W. Weber, thanks to his business acumen, purposefulness, discipline, and philanthropy, has driven the entrepreneurial successes of our German partner and has, to an extensive degree, contributed to LINET Group SE becoming a leading global manufacturer of beds and equipment for hospital and nursing care facilities. His departure is an immeasurable loss for LINET. On the day of Mr. Weber’s funeral, the employees of LINET in Slaný paid their respects to him with a minute of silence.
