The company Proma Reha may not produce or sell copies of LINET beds

Leading world manufacturer of health-care technology LINET has chalked up an emphatic victory in its fight against forgers. The Municipal Court in Prague issued an interim measure in a case where LINET is suing the Czech company Proma Reha for violating its industrial copyright.

LINET employees organised a spontaneous collection and collected EUR 2 650 to help flood-afflicted areas in Moravia. Funds were also provided by the company's management and altogether EUR 5 300 was sent from LINET to the bank accounts of two afflicted sites – the Wallachian municipality of Huslenky and the town of Bohumín.

The three-day program of this year’s annual gathering, packed with events for partners and friends of LINET – the LINET Comfort Days – took place in a celebratory atmosphere. This year was the 20th anniversary of the founding of LINET which, over this time, has achieved a respected position on the world market in hospital beds and health-care technology.

The French Hopital Expo trade fair exhibiting health-care technology is one of the largest of its kind in France. It is always held biannually in May; in the intervening years, a similar exhibition concerned with the care services sector is held.

Zbyněk Frolík, owner and managing director of LINET, has been chosen as the winner of the Manager of the Year 2009 competition. This is the distinguished managerial showdown's seventeenth year, and the results were announced yesterday at a gala ceremony on Prague's Žofín island.
