The third annual event of Linet Comfort Days designed above all for czech and Linet’s foreign partners has come to an end. Linet welcomed several dozen guests during the three-day June event from 15 different countries for which a varied programme was organised.

The company Linet, a leading world medical technology producer, is definitely continuing in its success of past years. In the 2007/08 business year ending 31.3.2008, it showed record consolidated revenues of 78 million € which, despite the strengthening crown, was an increase of 18 percent against the previous year. The company managed to achieve this positive result by sales at home and by exports which account for 80 percent of its production.

The Linet brand was placed in seventh position in the ranking of TOP 10 most successful brands that emerged after 1989 and was ranked among the well/known brands such as Mountfield or Semtex. The competition was announced this year for the first time by the agency Mather Communications which approached more than 300 marketing and advertising experts.

A married couple called Ďuriga of Stará Turá (Slovakia) suffered an unusually cruel fate. Stano Ďuriga has been paralysed for 16 years and up till now he was looked after by his wife Zdenka together with his parents and son Lukáš. However, after a serious car accident in February of last year Zdenka Ďurigová is also now fully dependent on others for help, she cannot move and is not even able to speak. So the heavily tried family can find it easier to adapt to home care it will acquire a Latera Care electrically adjustable bed from the company Linet equipped with a lateral tilt thanks to which care for the immobile Zdenka Ďurigová will be easier.

“We use it all the time not only when training health workers and business partners, but it also works as an aid to people working in development and as product managers. The possibility of effective demonstration accelerates the process of the development of new beds,” stated Jitka Kocálová, Linet’s project manager.
