LINET, a leading medical technology manufacturer, donated one of its unique Eleganza 3 electrically adjustable bed worth 130 000 crowns to Strakonice Hospital. It was announced today that the South Bohemian medical facility was the winner of the 4th annual national Hospital of the Year project. LINET and the organiser of the event, the non-profit organisation HealthCare Institute, have been working together in the long-term on the project. LINET has been the sponsor of the main prize since 2007. “Achieving the highest quality of our products is the core of our success. Hence we consider the project, which aims to increase the quality of Czech hospitals, to be very important and necessary. It has our approval and support,” Tomáš Kolář, LINET’s marketing director explained the reasons for the company’s constant cooperation in the Hospital of the Year project.

The main prize – a sophisticated electrically adjustable bed will contribute to increasing the comfort of both patients and staff at the winning hospital. The bed, intended above all for intensive care units, can be easily operated with the aid of actuators, so it is very easy for a nurse to handle. Its unique features facilitate the patient’s convalescence. The integral system of functions and ergonomic construction support the patient when leaving the bed, so-called mobilisation. The construction also takes account of a long-term recumbent patient as it has excellent parameters for preventing dangerous pressure sores.
