A while ago some dailies brought optimistic reports that interest is rising in the study of technical fields at secondary schools and universities. Experts ascribe the increased interest in technical fields to various recruitment events organised by private companies and the initiatives of some regions. Some companies have recently decided to deal with the low interest in technical fields themselves. I present one direct example: LINET, an entirely Czech company and a leading manufacturer of hospital and nursing beds as well as medical furniture, began to provide long-term financial and professional support for pupils from some vocational and technical schools in the Central Bohemian Region.
Prague – Healthy reclining is an art of its own. It depends on the mattress and the bed and especially on the hospitals where patients spend all day lying on them. It is gratifying that one of the leading world manufacturers of hospital beds happens to be the Czech company Linet from Slaný. It ranks as one of four of the biggest companies in this field in the world.
LINET, a leading medical technology manufacturer, donated one of its unique Eleganza 3 electrically adjustable bed worth 130 000 crowns to Strakonice Hospital. It was announced today that the South Bohemian medical facility was the winner of the 4th annual national Hospital of the Year project.
LINET, a leading hospital and nursing bed manufacturer, is providing long-term financial and professional support to pupils of secondary technical schools in the Central Bohemian Region. A special training centre for 300 000 crowns was set up for apprentices as part of the “S Programme” project which is designed to merge apprentice teaching with practical experience. LINET obtained the money from the European Social Fund (ESF) and the state budget of the Czech Republic for the “S Programme”.
In the current global economic and financial crisis many companies have realised it is better to change their method of payment so its smooth course is ensured. Linet’s sales manager for Latin America, Adéla Vágnerová, is satisfied. “In 2005 we established cooperation with the company Dräger Medical Mexico. Our products became an interesting accessory range for deliveries to intensive care units. This segment is unquestionably the showcase of technological companies and we have clearly succeeded here,” she says.
