The Czech Republic’s Design Centre announces the Excellent Design prize as part of the Excellent Product of the Year competition.

It is the IF International Design Forum that decides about the winners of the prestigious designer competition IF Design in Hanover. Every year 1,800 realised designer projects from 30 countries participate in this competition. The profit gained from the award means a mark of the product’s exceptional quality.

Products from all over the world have been awarded at the Good Design competition in Japan for over fifty years. The best which “achieve the improvement of the quality of life and development of industry through design” are awarded the G-Mark prize.

One of the most prominent international competitions is Red Dot organised by the Design Centre in North Rhineland - Westphalia since 1955. Its history, scope and quality make it one of the most recognised designer competitions in the world. The Red Dot brand name is a synonym for high utility an aesthetic quality.

The Czech Republic’s Design Centre has been awarding the National Prize for Design since 1991 as the highest possible accolade in the Excellent Product of the Year competition. Dozens of projects from various fields of industry participate in the competition.
