As is tradition, President Václav Klaus bestowed the awards of high national distinction on the 28th of October on the anniversary of the creation of the independent Czechoslovakia in 1918, i.e. the historical predecessor of the modern day Czech Republic. This year 21 medals were awarded to war veterans, scientists, artists, and outstanding athletes, among others. The founder of LINET Zbyněk Frolík was recognized as the sole entrepreneur, and by so doing became only the fourth entrepreneur to receive the honour in modern Czech history. At the same time, he is the very first businessman recognized with the honour to have built his company from the ground up.

The founder of LINET and General Director and executive head of LINET Group SE Zbyněk Frolík was awarded the National Medal of Merit by Czech President Václav Klaus. Mr. Frolík became only the fourth individual from the ranks of entrepreneurs in Czech history to receive the honour.
